As a Southern California native, I had always desired to return to my roots. Following my surgical education and training that culminated at the Cleveland Clinic in Breast Surgical Oncology, I wanted to return home and become part of a community of physicians who knew their patients as people, whose families we would come to know and care for beyond just their conditions and diseases.
